Ambassador Awards
Powering the People
This award is in recognition of an Ambassador or Ambassador team who deploys best practices that elevate and implements membership strategy, utilizes all/most of their memberships, and activates regional engagement.
Powering the Partnership
This award highlights an Ambassador or Ambassador team who excel at creating awareness for NextUp cross-functionally at their company. They are strategic and leverage internal relationships, engaging with all levels of employees, including executive involvement in NextUp Ambassador Calls, ‘Lunch and Learns,’ and regional engagement and leadership.
Powering the Purpose
This award goes to the Ambassador or Ambassador team that have achieved all-around engagement at their organization, and participation by their organization in a majority of NextUp programs, events, conferences, Ambassador monthly calls, etc.
Powering Allyship
This award is presented to an Ambassador or Ambassador team who embrace allyship and promote inclusivity and belonging. The winners exhibit excellence in DEI&B and allyship leadership by connecting their organization with NextUp’s programming, which aids in removing the barriers that prevent women from advancing in the workplace.
Region People Awards
Powering Allyship
This volunteer has demonstrated a high level of engagement in their region and serves as a role model and advocate for advancing all women. Please explain why this person should receive the award. They demonstrate proactive willingness to learn and be a voice for all members of their community.
Emerging Leader
The Emerging Leader Award is presented to a Region volunteer who has been a volunteer with less than 2 years involvement with NextUp. Within their volunteer role, this leader has stepped up to the responsibilities of their role and helped to implement processes and changes that ensure the region’s success.
Kristine Pettoni Courageous Leadership
This award was created in 2020 to honor the legacy and life of Kristine Pettoni from our NextUp Atlanta Region. Kristine embodied a courageous leader in everything she did and represented from workplace to home. Kristine always found time to mentor, lead, use her voice, include others, and leave this world in a better place as she fought her battle with cancer. IMPACT – Bobbie O’Hare Impact
The Impact Award was created to honor our founder of the regions, Bobbie O’Hare. The recipient of this award demonstrates a superior level of leadership in the regions while developing a boldly inclusive community at the local level. Their accomplishments go beyond their region and positively impact NextUp’s mission.

This award goes to a region that has invested in its team to ensure all regional volunteers are well-positioned for success

This award is given to regions that go above and beyond to provide mentoring, build outreach programs with colleges and universities, and create strategic alliances in their local community.

This award is given to a region that drives NextUp’s mission through boldly inclusive programming that educates and drives awareness around leadership development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all.
