This award goes to a region that has invested in its team to ensure all regional volunteers are well-positioned for success.

Criteria:

• Open Minds: Successfully managed a volunteer onboarding process by leveraging NextUp resources. Recruited new volunteers and retained existing volunteers through internal engagement, effective training, coaching, and/or development of Committee Leaders and Board Officers.
• Develop Capacity: Successfully utilized the Internal Engagement Officer role to promote team cohesion through internal networking, team building, and forging meaningful connections.
• Create Opportunity: Built a diverse and inclusive board team (i.e. recruitment of new talent, male allies, people of color, LGBTQIA+, industry expansion) and provide opportunities to lead events, lead volunteers, engage in speaking opportunities while developing their professional skills.
