This award is given to a region that drives NextUp’s mission through boldly inclusive programming that educates and drives awareness around leadership development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all.

Criteria

  • Open Minds: Creates boldly inclusive programming that invites and educates new and existing members and empowers them to become advocates of NextUp’s mission.
  • Develop Capacity: Develops innovative and inclusive programming that engages diverse groups.
  • Create Opportunity: Delivers consistent and effective marketing campaigns to promote regional events and NextUp programs, messaging, and content across multiple platforms to increase engagement.

2025 Award Winner

NextUp Chicago

NextUp Chicago has strengthened its mission-driven impact through renewed partnerships, purposeful programming, and meaningful community engagement. This year, the team re-established the Alliances Committee to expand collaboration and share best practices across regions. Their ongoing partnership with Saint Mary’s College continues to provide mentorship opportunities for women students, and the upcoming launch of Mentor Circles has already attracted more than 100 participants. The Chicago Region also led a Special Olympics volunteer event with more than 30 participants and expanded their collaboration with By The Hand Club for Kids, reinforcing their commitment to service, connection, and purposeful growth.
