How did you first hear about NEW, and what prompted you to join?
The company I work for, Mondelēz International, sponsored my NEW membership. I started my career in Tampa and have fond memories of NEW events I attended and webinars I participated in with colleagues. When I moved to Charlotte for a job opportunity, I was eager to get involved in the Carolina chapter.
How has NEW impacted your personal/professional life?
NEW has expanded my network allowing me a platform to connect with local industry professionals. I was also able to practice and improve my presentation skills through speaking to college students about NEW and the CPG industry.
Tell us about a recent personal accomplishment or event in your life.
Completed the via ferrata in Murren, Switzerland. The climbing path is 2000 ft above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The route involves scaling a cliff face and crossing a suspension bridge. Although not physically challenging, it certainly involved mental toughness. Incredible experience and break taking views.
What is your favorite NEW event you’ve attended?
I have enjoyed all of the NEW events I have attended. One event that stands out is the Spring Learning Event from a few years ago on Inspiring Courageous Leadership. It was a panel event that featured 4 dynamic leaders that shared their career paths and advice; their stories were energizing and inspiring!
What other activities, aside from being an amazing member of NEW, do you enjoy in your free time?
Traveling! In the past 3 years, we visited Japan, Switzerland, Spain, Croatia, & Cuba.

Last Halloween costume? “Claire Dearing” from Jurassic World. My husband was “Owen Grady” and our puppy was “Blue”

What food could you eat for a week straight for every meal? Lasagna

Can’t think of any funny stories. However, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet Sarah Alter at a NEW Carolinas event last year!
