Keisha Williams

Director, Workplace Equality, Human Rights Campaign

Keisha Williams is the director of the Workplace Equality Program at HRC. Prior to joining HRC, Keisha practiced law for over a decade. She served as in-house counsel at various labor unions where she represented District of Columbia and federal government employees in discrimination claims and employment disputes. She also served as Chief Negotiator in bargaining and collaborated with high-level government officials on workplace equality initiatives. In addition, Keisha routinely taught labor and employment law courses.

Keisha still serves as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Maryland School of Law, where she teaches Labor Law. In her spare time, she is a pro bono attorney at the Whitman Walker Clinic and assists clients with legal fillings for name and gender marker changes.

Keisha further serves on the Board of Directors of the Ray Corollary Initiative, Inc. and on the Steering Committee for the Georgetown University Law Center’s Workplace Streetlaw program.

Keisha attained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. She attained a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, with honors, from Howard University. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Keisha lives in Washington, DC with her partner Thuy.

LaKeisha Washington, DEIB Educator and Founder of ARI Consultants, has over 10+years of expertise curating cultural fluency programming, developing protective policy within the public and private sector, and transforming work cultures, while investing a lifetime commitment to creating change. Her passion for people, stemming from her previous employment with the EEOC and the EPA’s Office of Civil Rights, has afforded her (US) national recognition for her shared efforts in the Federal implementation of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) protections under Title VII. Her dedication to uniting diverse experiences and perspectives is matched with her drive for business success, delivering key results as an Account Manager for Altria. With an eye for detail, an analytical mind for data, and a way with people, she leverages her adaptive personality and solution- driven cognition to develop ways to drive innovation, for both the business and the organization.

She spends her spare time enjoying the likes of motherhood with her 21 month old daughter, the joy of her life, while remaining present within Chicago’s local activist movements and advocacy groups for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Monique Evans’ pronouns are she/her/hers. She’s a trustworthy and skilled professional who’s worked at 4 of the top 5 largest banks in the United States. She possesses Industry experience in Commercial and Wholesale Banking Operations, Trust & Treasury Fiduciary Services, Wealth and Investment Management, Commercial Capital/ Vendor Equipment Finance, Consumer and Mortgage Banking Operations. With several years of professional experience in the financial services industry, Monique currently serves as a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Representative for Wells Fargo Vendor Financial Services LLC and Wells Fargo Bank N.A.
