Career Development

Leading with Financial Fluency

Leading with Financial Fluency offers a comprehensive program teaching the skills and confidence needed to understand the financial landscape of your company and industry to advance your career, especially valuable for those in non-finance roles. Moderated by two experienced executive leaders with deep understanding of these financial fundamentals, you’ll leave this program with the hard skills you need to excel as a leader at any level of financial responsibility.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Learn key terms, how to read and interpret a balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, and how these documents interconnect to reveal business insights.

  • Apply the 3R NextUp Financial Framework (Revenue, Ratios, and Return on Invested Capital) to analyze financial statements and ask probing questions.

  • Practice analyzing and presenting a business case and learn how senior leaders apply financial analysis to make informed, high-impact decisions.

  • Build an ‘enterprise-level’ financial mindset that enhances leadership and builds confidence to make data-driven decisions that impact your organization’s future.

Who Should Attend?

  • Early-career leaders with the potential to take on broader operational and business line roles.
  • Leaders in functional roles with little exposure to broader P&L management or ownership of financial goals and objectives.
  • Cross-functional leaders, working with specific financial goals.
