Welcome to the NextUp Leadership Program for Directors and Sr. Directors! Over the next three months, you’ll be part of an exceptional group of leaders dedicated to skill enhancement. Assessments 

You’ll receive both a Hogan and an EQ 360 assessment to guide you through your next key steps.  

EQ 360 

On Thursday May 22nd, you’ll receive an email from noreply@mhs.com with a link to take the EQ 360 assessment. The results will be sent to your assigned coach.  

Hogan Assessment

On TuesdayJune 3rd, you’ll receive an email from support@hoganassessments.com with a link to take the Hogan assessment. The results will be sent to your assigned coach.  

In-Person Conference  

Over three days, engage in sessions dedicated to strategic leadership, risk-ready approaches, and visionary and effective leadership. This immersive experience includes insights from executive leaders, reflective exercises, and networking opportunities. 

  • In-person program dates: June 17-18

Virtual Development Sessions 

In three 90-minute sessions, you’ll learn key leadership tools and techniques and how they’re put into practice by current leaders. These development sessions are customized for forward-thinking executives and include topics on leading yourself, leading others, and leading your organization. All sessions will be live Zoom calls that will be recorded. Please be sure to download the ics. file above to add holds to your calendar for these times.

Coaching  

You will receive three one-on-one 50-minute executive coaching sessions to fast-track your development. Your coach will receive the results from both of your assessments to ensure your conversations are targeted and useful. Please work directly with your coach to schedule your one-on-one sessions within the given time frames. There will be more information to come on your coach assignment.

  • Coaching Session 1: June 23 – June 27
  • Coaching Session 2: July 7 – July 11
  • Coaching Session 3: July 21 – 25, extended into July 28 – 31

Due to high demand, the hotel room block is filling quickly with limited availability! Ensure you secure your accommodations promptly to avoid any issues. If your preferred dates are unavailable, book the available days online to secure the reduced room rate. Subsequently, contact the hotel at (512) 329-4000 to adjust your reservation, subject to resort availability.

If you’re attending in person but don’t need a sleeping room, please contact us at learning@nextupisnow.org. You must use the link below to reserve your room at a reduced rate. The deadline to book your room is May 16th, 2025 but do not delay as rooms are first come, first served.

Dress Code 

Daily Dress Code

The suggested dress code for our in-person event is business casual with comfortable shoes. You are encouraged to dress comfortably for the dinner and networking reception.  

Given Austin’s average temperatures in April, ranging from 51 degrees to 88 degrees, we recommend dressing appropriately to accommodate potential changes in weather or temperature. Be prepared for cooler evenings, air-conditioned rooms, and various program activities. 

Event Dress Code

Soaring to New Heights (ATTENTION): Dress shades of light blues and/ or whites for this special dinner to celebrate your leadership aspirations. 

Hotel & Spa Activities: Bring a suit and flip flops or workout clothes and sneakers if you’d like to take advantage of the pool, gym, and spa. 

 

Travel Details 

Recommended Arrival and Departure Information: 

We suggest arriving on the afternoon of June 16 to take advantage of the optional Cocktail and Networking Welcome Reception 6:00 pm – 8:00 PM CT June 16 . The (required) formal learning program begins at 9:00 AM on June 17th, with breakfast being served prior to the program opening. The (required) learning program concludes on June 18 at noon, and we recommend staying until the end of the conference for the full program experience.

The airport nearest the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport [AUS].  

The resort estimates travel times at 30 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. For more information on distances and location, see the hotel website. 

Check-In Time 

The check-in time at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is 4:00 PM. Although the hotel will strive to have rooms ready upon arrival, this cannot be guaranteed. If your room is not ready, the Omni Bell Stand will gladly hold your luggage. 

Meals 

Meals during the in-person conference include (optional) Cocktail/Mocktail Welcome Reception the evening of June 16th. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner are included on June 17; and breakfast and snacks will also be provided on June 18. Participants are responsible for all other meals.
