Sarah has successfully expanded the scope of NextUp’s mission to include Advancing All Women, and has grown NextUp to be the largest non-profit of its type, with over 15,000 members representing over 900 organizations, 21 regions, and over 300 national and regional corporate partners. Over 50% of NextUp’s national corporate sponsors are on the Fortune or Global 500, and Sarah has built NextUp into an organization that spans industries from tech, to finance, to retail, to CPG. Tom launched his career practicing law in New York, handling litigation, mergers & acquisitions, & real estate matters. Throughout Tom’s experiences, he became acutely aware of systemic inequities. After practicing law for 15+ years, Tom shifted his focus to develop social entrepreneurially businesses with the mission to drive equity. Tom founded T2D Concepts, LLC along with Chef Tiffany Derry with the goal to change the industry for good. T2D owns and operates Roots Southern Table and Roots Chicken Shak. The latter concept includes a franchise model designed to create equitable opportunity for underrepresented communities. In addition to his work with T2D Coccepts, Tom works closely with NextUp, leading the facilitation for the Beyond Allies program. Tom also serves as an adjunct professor at Paul Quinn College and the University of Dallas as well as sits on the College of Business Advisory Board for Tuskegee University. Tom earned his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. from Colgate University.

Chastity Brown
Chastity Brown is a storyteller in the blues tradition. The Minnesota-via-Tennessee songwriter and musician tells stories populated by marginalized characters to stake her own space as a queer black woman and to speak to other experiences oftentimes ignored. The daughter of a black blues musician and white Irish mother who was raised in Tennessee, she’s made a home in Minneapolis for more than a decade. She was signed by Red House Records and released her acclaimed album Silhouette of Sirens in 2017, going on to tour nationally and internationally, sharing the stage and supporting artists such as the Indigo Girls, Ani Di Franco, Andrea Gibson, Jayhawks, The National, and Michael Kiwanuka. Chastity Brown’s latest record, Sing To The Walls, was released in June 2022 and is available everywhere now.

Tara has more than 15 years of sales, marketing and commercial operations experience in the consumer products industry, including roles at Procter & Gamble and now Keurig Dr Pepper. Tara’s customer management experiences included Albertsons, Amazon, and CVS. Currently she leads the National Retail Sales Center of Excellence at KDP where she developed a data-driven toolkit to drive insight to action. She also took on a role building the Women & Allies Employee Resource Group over the last two years. Tara received her BSBA/MBA from Miami University of Ohio. Tara grew up in Cincinnati, OH and now lives in downtown Boston, MA with her husband and 3-year-old daughter.

Danit Schleman

Danit Schleman
As the VP of strategic value, Danit leads NextUp in honing its mission for corporate partners and members, aligning its strategy to that mission, and catalyzing future growth. Danit’s first priority will be to develop and launch Ascend, a solution for organizations seeking to design more equitable and inclusive workplaces for women of color. Danit has been working at the intersection of strategy and DEIB for over 20 years. She acquired a strategic, data-driven toolkit over a decade of leading management consulting projects at Oliver Wyman across diverse industries. She then took on a role building the Inclusion and Diversity team at Oliver Wyman. Most recently, she has consulted in the education, non-profit, philanthropy, and corporate sectors, helping clients align their organizations with their missions, strategies, and values. Danit holds an M.B.A. with Distinction from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. magna cum laude in social studies from Harvard College. She lives in Chicago with her husband, their three children, and their dog. In her spare time she enjoys reading, yoga, and playing board games with her kids.

Sam Mewis is an American midfielder for the U.S Women’s National Team and the KC Current of the NWSL. Considered one of the top players in the world, Sam combines a physicality and technical ability, which is incomparable in the sport. Following a 2019 World Cup title, Sam took her talents to Manchester City, where she would help the club win an FA Cup title and would later be named the #1 female player in the world by ESPNFC for 2021. Responsible for day to day management of broadcast partner rights and oversight of NFL’s Broadcast Compliance program. Member of NFL TV negotiation team since 2004 and liaison between League business units and broadcast partners CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN. Leads effort to innovate around advertising and sponsorship within NFL games, a key part of the League’s Game Presentation initiative launched in 2016 to improve the viewing experience across all platforms and drive value for partners. Prior to the NFL, spent nine years at ESPN, first as a Sportscenter Producer before joining the Programming Acquisition group to lead rights negotiations across ESPN’s key content partners including NFL, NBA, PGA TOUR, and Olympic sports.

Tracie Rodburg has been with the NFL for 16 years and is currently the Senior Vice President of Sponsorship Management. Tracie is responsible for leading the team that manages and activates the sponsorship business. This includes working with such Fortune 500 companies as PepsiCo, Visa, Verizon, Microsoft and Procter & Gamble. She leads the activation, sales and renewals for all the partners including their promotion of the league’s high-profile calendar events and authentic integration into the game. Tracie also plays an integral role in cross departmental projects and initiatives focused on the continued growth of the NFL and unique ways to reach fans. Prior to joining the NFL she previously worked as a Senior Account Supervisor at McCann Erickson on the General Motors account. In this role she represented the national brands and worked with regional dealerships on their planning, advertising and promotions. Tracie began her career in sports working for the New York Yankees in various roles including sponsorship, fan strategy and advertising.
