NextUp Welcomes COO Tamiko Olabintan
NextUp is excited to officially announce the appointment of our new Chief Operating Officer, Tamiko Olabintan, effective March 16th. As COO, Tamiko will be responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of NextUp. She will be the right hand of CEO and President Sarah Alter, and lead our high performing teams to be productive, efficient, and effective. Departments under Tamiko’s leadership include: National Conferences, Technology, Regions, L&D, HR, and the operations portion of Member Services.
Tamiko is not new to NextUp, as she was the NextUp Membership Coordinator for PepsiCo. She also volunteers her time as a Mentor for Million Women Mentor (MWM) where she mentors students in South Dallas, and she is the Chair for the Women Inclusion Network, which helps women develop leadership skills.
Tamiko comes to us from PepsiCo-Frito Lay division, where she has worked since 2015. Within PepsiCo, Tamiko has held multiple executive roles, from managing a large Sales team of over 200+ employees in Vegas as a Zone Sales Director, to leading and implementing GTM strategies that have changed the way that Frito Lay has gone to market with implementing an Omnichannel selling structure as the Transformation & Strategy Director and most recently leading a 3.5 Billion Dollar Customer Sales Team for the SouthCentral Region as the Sr. Director of Sales. Tamiko is known as a transformational leader with a consistent track record of delivering strong business results through a consumer led approach with a unique blend of creativity and strategic rigor. Primed and poised to work cross functionally to simplify, streamline and drive synergies with winning strategies that drive both topline growth and personal development for her and the teams that she leads.
Tamiko earned her B.S in Marketing from San Francisco State University, her MBA from John F. Kennedy University, and her Strategic Management Certificate from Harvard University. She lives in Texas with her husband, Victor, and her children, Victoria and Elijah.
Most of us were lucky enough to meet Tamiko in person last week but please join me in officially welcoming her to the NextUp team. Tamiko, we hope our company will reach new achievements under your strong leadership. We look forward to working with you!
