Monica Turner Game Changer Award

This award was created to honor Monica Turner, President – North America, Procter & Gamble, who has been opening doors for all women at Procter & Gamble and in the NextUp community throughout her career. This award celebrates individuals who serve as role models in business, advocacy and allyship in NextUp. They promote gender equality and elevate the voices of all women.

Nomination Process

Open to all NextUp members who can nominate any member other than themselves. The award recipient is selected by NextUp in collaboration with Procter & Gamble and Monica Turner.

Criteria

  • Assess the nominee’s business impact in the industry, active advocacy and allyship efforts towards making an impact in their industry, promoting gender equality and inclusivity in the workplace and within the NextUp community.
  • Evaluate the nominee’s leadership in fostering an environment of support and empowerment.
  • Evaluate the nominee’s ability to inspire others through their actions.

2024 Award Winner

Kimberly McGee, Walmart

Kimberly has had amazing impact, driving business growth in her industry over more than 20 years at Walmart, where she serves as Senior Manager for Walmart’s Center for Racial Equity. In this role she is a strategic partner who manages large cross-functional initiatives and programs that have positively impacted customers, employees and the community. She launched a leadership development program, ensuring a strong talent pipeline at Walmart for many years to come.

She promotes gender equality and inclusivity as Chair of Walmart’s Black & African American Resource Group, where she leads the Sister-To-Sister program, creating a community to empower and elevate women in the workplace and beyond. She also has a profound impact at NextUp, serving as Executive Co-Chair for Northwest Arkansas, NextUp’s largest region. In this capacity, she founded a game-changing Mentoring Circles program, developing future NextUp leaders and fostering an environment of support and empowerment.

She inspires others through her actions, and those who know her say she is a “positive light who seeks the positive in other people.” Her passion for empowering others, combined with her extensive community service, makes her an exceptional role model for us all.
